Sri Lanka was previously known as "Ceylon" and this name carries on in the famous Ceylon black teas. Here, in the mountainous landscape, tea plants thrive and flourish beneath the early morning cool mistings, cloud covered warm days, and relatively cool nights.
Our higher grade OP1 (Orange Pekoe) Ceylon Tea brews to a deep copper infusion and a smooth malty taste with a typical high grown character and briskness.

I have tried hundreds of teas and am a bit of a tea snob, preferring black teas that have a smooth taste of the ACTUAL tea without artificial additives, herbs or flavors. I prefer loose leaf because tea bags also have "bad" ingredients (especially the plastic ones!) and they can alter the flavor. I appreciate the tea for it's OWN flavor and this one of my favorites.

I brewed this twice and I wasn't sure what to expect. I've had Ceylon before, but I just wasn't sure.
This brewed really well! The flavor is nice, and I didn't have any aftertaste. It was clean and wonderful.
