History of Rooibos & Honeybush (04:32)
Rooibos & Honeybush are tisanes that originate from the Cederberg Mountain region of South Africa. Both plants are part of legiume family and have been drunk in South Africa for over 300 years. Processed very similarly to tea, the needles of these plants are harvested, bruised, allowed to oxidize and dried. This produces their signature red color. Green Rooibos and Honeybush are also available, where they stopped oxidation early, but are not often seen in the United States. Growing Region: Rooibos and Honeybush come from one of the most biologically diverse regions of the world and the birthplace of modern humans. The area has several distinct regions ranging from coastal, to lowland fynbos (shrubs with varied shapes and sizes), and mountains with many others in between. The specific region where Rooibos is grown recently was designated a World Heritage Site, yet the majority of land is privately owned, so the need for responsible land use and development practices has driven the South African Rooibos Council to develop Right Rooibos, a program to foster sustainable production practices for the industry and support production while protecting the environment. Tasting Notes: While both Rooibos & Honeybush look similiar, they do not taste the same. Much like its name, Honeybush has a sweet finish than Rooibos. Both tisanes are earthly and woody in flavor. Instructions for Brewing: 3 grams to 8oz of water (roughly 1 tsp) Boiling water (Dropping the water temperature results in less flavor and mouth feel) Steep 7-10 minutes Honeybush: https://www.dominiontea.com/honeybush/ Rooibos: https://www.dominiontea.com/rooibos/ ****** Dominion Tea Across the Web ****** Dominion Tea - https://www.DominionTea.com Tea Blog - http://blog.DominionTea.com Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/DominionTea Instagram - https://instagram.com/DominionTea Twitter - https://twitter.com/DominionTea

This is one of the tastiest and most satisfying teas of the non-caffeine variety. Just the right blend of full flavor with a hint of sweetness. My new afternoon and evening go-to. Thanks!
