Alishan High Moutain Oolong

Steeping Instructions

Step 1:
Preheat mug with boiling water, discard and refill.
Step 2:
Steep 1 flat tsp or 3-4 grams of tea per 8 oz of water.
Step 3:
Steep for 3-5 minutes as desired. Experiment with slightly cooler water or shorter steeping times. Try one additional steeping if desired.

Alishan High Mountain Oolong Description:

This Alishan High Mountain Oolong is produced by the people of Dabang tribe of the Tsou People of Taiwan. This is a truly unique tea sharing some of the best qualities of Oriental Beauty and Alishan Oolongs. Like Oriental Beauty the leaves used for this tea are chewed by leafhoppers to impart a slightly sweeter unique flavor. Unlike Oriental Beauty however, which is an open twist oolong, this Alishan oolong is tightly balled. It features an almost toasted honey aroma with a sweet and lingering taste. Pluck style is a bud and 2-4 leaves. It is lightly oxidized but a medium/heavy roasting is applied to the finished product.  Plantation is managed in accordance with EU Regulations (EC834/2007) for pesticide and fertilizer free production at elevations of 3,200ft to 5,000 ft above sea level.

Alishan High Moutain Oolong Asian Style Preparation

Asian Style: Steep 6 grams of Alishan High Moutain in a medium size Gaiwan for approximately 20-30 seconds and pour off into a small pitcher and serve. Infuse 6-8 times adding 5-10 seconds for each infusion.
