Steeping Instructions

Step 1:
Preheat mug with boiling water, discard and refill.
Step 2:
Steep 1 tsp or 3-4 grams of tea per 8 oz of water.
Step 3:
Steep for 3-5 minutes as desired. Experiment with slightly cooler water or shorter steeping times. Try one additional steeping if desired.

This flavorful vanilla tea made with Yunnan black tea and vanilla bean pieces is delicious both hot and cold. Enjoy the flavor of vanilla in an iced tea or better yet, cold brew it for an even more intense vanilla flavor.

Yunnan Tea from China

Yunnan province China is thought to be one of the first places where tea was cultivated and manufactured beginning around 2,000 years ago. Well known for the production of Puerh, Yunnan China produces many different variety of teas including black tea, or as the Chinese refer to it, red tea. As one of the first parts of China to produce tea many of the tea trees are hundreds, even thousands of years old.

Cold Brewing Vanilla Yunnan Organic Tea:

Start with 7 teaspoons of tea for 750 mL of water. Allow to steep in the refrigerator for between 7-10 hours. You can adjust the amount of tea and brewing time to suit your pallet.

It will not appear as dark as traditional iced tea but the flavor will be more intense.
