Flower Burst Flowering Tea Significance:

Flowering teas are handmade and sewn to produce the characteristic flower shape. Additional flowers such as globe amaranth, chrysanthemum, jasmine, lily, hibiscus, and osmanthus are added to the center to provide the color and shape.

It is thought that flowering teas date back to the Song Dynasty (960-1279 BCE) in the Yunnan province of China, however the exact origins are unknown.

Flower Burst is made from tied petals of lily, osmanthus, and jasmine, wrapped with steamed leaves of Yunnan green tea. It unfurls very much the way spring comes to Yunnan province and flowers begin to bloom.
